About Master of Laws (LLM)
Department of Master of Laws (LLM)
The Master of Laws (LLM) program at Chittagong Independent University is designed to provide advanced legal education for graduates seeking specialization and professional growth. The program offers two streams—LLM (General) and LLM in Human Rights—allowing students to tailor their studies according to their career goals. With flexible duration options, it accommodates both LL.B. (Honours) and LL.B. (Pass) graduates. The curriculum combines general education, core legal courses, and a viva-voce, ensuring a comprehensive academic experience. Students can explore diverse areas such as international law, human rights, criminal justice, and environmental law. The Human Rights track particularly emphasizes global and regional issues, preparing graduates for impactful roles in legal practice, academia, and international organizations. The program’s structured evaluation system further supports academic excellence and practical skill development.
