Language Centre (ELC)
Chittagong Independent University (CIU) has introduced the ‘English Language Centre (ELC)’ for its students to help them advance their English language skills and provide them with special tutorial assistance in English.
This course is offered free of cost.
Name of the Centre: “English Language Centre (ELC)”
This center will work with a multidisciplinary and multi-method approach around the theme of entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive development of the business and society.
ELC Objectives
Objective of the English Language Centre (ELC)
The purpose of this Centre is to help students who need Remedial English courses. The Centre expects the students to overcome their weaknesses and to make them more confident in their academic performances after the successful completion of the designed courses.
Course Description
The CIU English Language Centre (CIU-ELC) is offering the complimentary English course “Remedial English” in Summer 2026.
Modules on offer: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

Target Learners: Undergraduate students of any semester who lack required proficiency in any of the modules (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) offered by the centre.
