Sk. Iftesham Islam is a budding legal scholar with a strong academic background, having earned his LLM from South Asian University, New Delhi. A recipient of the prestigious SAARC Silver Jubilee Scholarship, Mr. Islam has made significant contributions to legal scholarship, with published works in esteemed journals such as the Human Rights Law Review (Oxford University Press), Asian Journal of International Law (Cambridge University Press) and the Journal of International Law & Comity. He has also authored insightful pieces for the South-South Research Initiative. During his academic tenure, he served as a research intern at the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization. His research interests encompass artificial intelligence, climate action, and human rights. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mr. Islam was awarded First Prize in the 3rd Prof. Shah Alam Constitutional Law Essay Competition. He has represented Bangladesh at a wide range of international and national conferences, including the UNCITRAL South Asian Conference, and has participated in workshops on human rights and gender mainstreaming. He is currently a lecturer at the School of Law, Chittagong Independent University.
