Introduction

Dr. Emon Kalyan Chowdhury is a distinguished Professor of Accounting at Chittagong Independent University (CIU), leading the Department and shaping future generations of financial professionals. His leadership extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his successful spearheading of the World Bank-funded Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) from 2014-2016. This project demonstrably improved the quality of education at the tertiary level.

A prolific scholar, Dr. Chowdhury boasts over 50 research papers published in prestigious, peer- reviewed international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. These impactful works have garnered over 2,000 citations, solidifying his position as the top-cited scholar in Bangladesh for Accounting and Finance.

His research explores diverse areas, including accounting, finance, cutting-edge technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence, educational development, and sustainability. This breadth of expertise positions him as a thought leader at the forefront of these evolving fields.
