Introduction

Asma Al Amin is a dedicated lawyer and academic specializing in International Human Rights Law. A member of the Chittagong District Bar Association since 2013, she has twelve years of teaching experience.
Ms. Amin has collaborated with organizations like the United Nations Action for Cooperation against Trafficking in Persons (UN-ACT) in Thailand and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Nepal. She holds an LL.B and LL.M from Premier University and a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democratisation from Mahidol University, Thailand. She also completed a research fellowship at the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), Thailand. In 2022, she received a research grant from the Global Campus of Human Rights for initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region (University of Pretoria, South Africa). In 2024, she presented her work on Climate Justice at Panteion University in Greece. In January 2025, she became an Assistant Professor at SoL, Chittagong Independent University (CIU).
