Introduction

Arafat Ibnul Bashar is currently working as a Lecturer at School of Law in Chittagong Independent University. He passed his LL.B. and LL.M from Department of Law, University of Chittagong and has a diploma in Economic, Social & Development Rights from Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. He has been an accomplished mooter in his student life, being the Champion of International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, 2018 and the Runner-up and Best Memorial Award recipient of 4th Bangladesh Rounds of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2020. He joined Chittagong Independent University in July, 2024, with previous two years of teaching experience and has been enrolled as an Advocate in the Lower Judiciary of Bangladesh since 2023. Arafat Ibnul Bashar has authored the book titled “Outlines of Private International Law” and has also published in various national and international journals.

  • Editor of Project Bajho: A research project undertaken by the Millennium Fellows Class of 2020 from Kathmandu School of Law. The project was dedicated to give contextual recommendations to South Asian countries to tackle climate change after analyzing the laws and policies of those countries.
