Introduction

Ms. Tamanna Binte Zaman is a Lecturer of Department of Human Resource Management & General Management at CIU Business School in Chittagong Independent University. She has completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Jahangirnagar University with major in ‘Human Resource Management’ and minor in ‘Finance & Banking’ on May 2014 and previously completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) with dual major in ‘Human Resource Management’ and ‘Accounting & Finance’ on December 2011 with Magna Cum Laude (CGPA 3.86 out of 4.00).

Her research interests include Work-life flexibility policies and practices, Compensation and benefits, Human resource strategy in emerging economies, Interest-based negotiations, Capital budgeting and Investment analysis and Banking policies and strategies. Her objective as a lecturer is to motivate students to expand their learning interest & critical thinking and to establish a learner-centered and collaborative learning environment in the classroom.

Before joining CIU, Ms. Zaman worked at Uttara University as a faculty in Department of Business Administration and also worked at British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) as Sourcing Officer in Supply-Chain, Procurement department.

Presented a working paper titled ‘Sustainable Management: A Review of the Practices in the Real World and Implications for Organizations with Resource Constraints’ in an international conference, ‘1st International Conference on Sustainable Circular Business, Technology and Societies (ICSCBTS), Helsinki, Finland 2022’ organized by Bangladesh Doctoral Platform in Finland (BDPF) on November 5, 2022.
Presented a paper titled ‘Changes of HRM Practices around the World in the Context of COVID-19: Implications for Bangladesh and Developing Countries’ in a national conference, organized by Bureau of Business Research (BBR), Faculty of Business Administration, University of Chittagong on September 17-18, 2021.
