Introduction

Abu Sohel Mahmood is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Marketing, School of Business, in Chittagong Independent University (CIU). Before serving in the current position, he worked as a lecturer in the same Department in Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) from 2003-2011).

He has finished his MBA in 2000 from University of Canberra. He also had finished his Graduate Diploma in Information Systems Management (GDISM) in 2002 from Central Queensland University.

During his study, he also had the opportunity to do research on the effectiveness of awareness program run by Snowy Scheme Southcare Helicopter in Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and to find the best method of promoting SSSH and raising funds within the community. It has been published in 2001 under Snowy Scheme Southcare helicopter service for Southern NSW.

He is actively involved in sports and participated in many professional Badminton Tournaments held in domestic and International level. He also got awarded in many domestic and international Tournaments. He has been working as an in-charge of CIU sports club since 2012.

Active member of Bangladesh 45+ Badminton team and got Awarded many times from Bangladesh Badminton Federation.

In-charge of CIU Sports club since 2012
Worked As a Proctor: Student counselling, dispute settlement, oversee the student who has designated you while they take their required exams and to help ensure academic integrity. Each course with proctored exams will have specific instructions that will be provided to you prior to the student arriving for their scheduled exam time.
He worked as convener of CIU student’s alumni Association and currently holding a position as a committee member.
Worked as an In-charge of all Inter Private University Cricket/football/basketball Tournaments since 2012.
