CIU Business School

CIU Business School has been endeavoring to develop ethical, innovative, and responsible leaders in all functional areas of business. The students should be fully able to understand the core business concepts and principles in order to implement the same in reality. And these goals cannot be achieved until the students are spending moments in an industrial setting. Keeping With this view in mind, the business students are sent to the offices or factories of different enterprises in every academic session, where they gain firsthand knowledge. about various operational and management practices of the same.

School of Science and Engineering

The School of Science and Engineering (SSE), previously named School of Engineering & Computer Science (SECS), traces its root back to 1993 when Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) was founded and its outer campus in Chittagong was emerged. Later in 2013, Chittagong Independent University (CIU) was established and the j ourney of SSE took off with new goals. Today this school continues to be one of the major schools of CIU aiming to produce world class engineering graduates.

School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences

School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) offers the following program leading to a Bechelor’s degree: BA (Honours) in English

It also provides an integral component of CIU’s academic offerings, the Foundation Courses, for the undergraduates, tailored to enhance critical thinking and essential skills.The creative and challenging environment at SLASS gives students an opportunity to discover their talent. The diversity of the courses offered by the school inspires students to become a communication expert, a master of language, a journalist, a creative writer, a teacher, an anthropologist, a sociologist, an entrepreneur or go on to pursue advance studies.
