Industrial Visit to Gold Emperor (BD) Limited, KEPZ, Chattogram On 21 July 2026, the Confucius Institute Chinese Language Teaching Site (CICLTS) at CIU organized an industrial visit to Gold Emperor (BD) Limited (Jindi Footwear) at the Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ), Chattogram. A delegation comprising 15 students, accompanied by faculty members participated in the visit. The delegation was led by Dr. Kazi Siful Aspea, Director In-charge, Confucius Institute Chinese Language Teaching Site at CIU, and was accompanied by Mr. Li Shikhou, Chinese Instructor, Professor Dr. Khaled Bin Chowdhury, Dean, SLASS; Professor Dr. Emon Kalyan Chowdhury, Head, Department of Accounting, and Dr. Sajjatul Islam, Head, Department of CSE. The visit was organized to provide students with practical exposure to modern footwear manufacturing and industrial operations. During the tour, the participants observed various stages of the production process, quality control measures, and factory management practices. The factory representatives also shared insights into workplace standards, production efficiency, and career opportunities in the manufacturing sector. The industrial visit successfully bridged classroom learning with real-world industry practices, offering students valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the operations of a leading Chinese manufacturing company in Bangladesh.
