About CIUAIC

The Chittagong Independent University Artificial Intelligence Center (CIUAIC) is a university-wide initiative dedicated to advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) education, research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration at Chittagong Independent University. Established in response to the growing global impact of AI across industries, education, governance, and society, the Center aims to prepare students to become not only users of AI technologies but also innovators, researchers, and responsible contributors in the AI-driven world.

CIUAIC works collaboratively across the University’s four academic schools, the School of Science and Engineering (SSE), CIU Business School (CIUBS), School of Law (SoL), and School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) to integrate AI knowledge and applications into diverse academic disciplines. The Center promotes AI literacy for all students while also supporting advanced expertise in areas such as data science, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and responsible AI practices.

The Center facilitates interdisciplinary research and innovation, encouraging collaborative initiatives in domains including business analytics, legal AI, healthcare, education, intelligent transportation systems, e-commerce, agriculture, and social research. Through seminars, workshops, hackathons, research programs, and industry partnerships, CIUAIC provides students and faculty with opportunities for practical learning, innovation, and real-world problem solving.

The center serves as a hub for integrating AI into cross-curricula, facilitating research and development, and engaging with industry and society to create a future-ready academic ecosystem.
