Introduction

Dr. Ridoan Karim is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies (CLARS) – Malaysia Hub. His teaching and research lie at the intersection of law, science, and technology, with particular emphasis on energy and natural resources law and cyber law.

Dr. Karim has acted as a Consultant and Fellow in projects funded by the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia (BHEUU), the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (FRGS Grant Scheme), the University of Malaya, and the Monash Data Futures Institute (MDFI). He also conducts professional training programs in collaboration with Monash University, Esselaro, and various public and private sector institutions.

In recognition of his outstanding scholarly contributions, he received the Monash School of Business Excellence Award (Research) in 2022.
