About SoL

Chittagong Independent University, School of Law (SOL) takes pride in being one of the top law schools in Bangladesh. Founded in 2016, the School of Law commenced its journey with the mission to transform and advance the standard of legal education in Bangladesh.

The study of the law calls for utilisation of analytical skills, critical thinking skills, logic, strong writing skills, inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning to solve complex legal issues. The school envisions to build its students’ understanding of legal reasoning, enable them to critically analyse legal situations, and encourage them to confidently present and debate their interpretations. To accomplish this objective, the SoL has been working relentlessly in designing and consistently upgrading its model of legal education to harmonize with the dynamic legal environment.

The School of Law has two distinctive student clubs, Law Society Club and Debate & Mooting Club, where students are constantly engaged in extra-curricular activities, such as debating, moot court competitions, mock trial simulations, research, seminars, workshops, special guest lectures and social awareness activities. The students have successfully participated in various competitions, and have organized various events, hosting students and faculties from law schools across Bangladesh.

School of Law endeavors to uphold the commitments of Chittagong Independent University, and promote rule of law through imparting Global Standard legal education, that is suitable for facing the challenges of the 21 st century. The Graduates from the School of Law are doing wonders in the country and abroad.
