Seminar on COVID-19 Vaccination and Subsequent Use of Healthcare Services: A Study Based on Nationally Representative Data from the USA
As part of the collaborative activities under the MoU between CIU and the University of Georgia, USA the Mental Health and Well-being Center of Chittagong Independent University (CIU) organized a seminar on the topic: “COVID-19 Vaccination and Subsequent Use of Healthcare Services: A Study Based on Nationally Representative Data from the USA” on June 17, 2026 at the CIU Conference Room. The program was graced by the presence of Professor M. Mahmud Khan, Department Head & Professor, John A. Drew Professor in Healthcare Administration, Director of Graduate Studies in HPAM, University of Georgia College of Public Health as the session speaker while Professor Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar, Honorable Vice Chancellor, CIU was present as the session chair. The program began with the opening remarks by Ms. Nazneen Akter, Director In-Charge, Mental Health and Well-being Center, CIU and Asst. Dean School of Law. The event was attended by deans, faculty members, the Registrar, Administrative Officials and students. In his presentation, Professor Khan discussed findings from a study based on nationally representative data from the United States, examining the association between COVID-19 vaccination and subsequent healthcare service utilization The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which the speaker addressed a range of questions from the audience. The session provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and scholarly discussion on contemporary public health issues.
