Gender Awareness & Legal Rights Session at CIU Gender and Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee of Chittagong Independent University (CIU), in collaboration with Leo Club of ctg Bay of Bangal & District Legal Aid Office, Chattogram, jointly organized a session on “Gender Awareness & Legal Rights” at the CIU Auditorium on 04 October 2026. Mr. Subrata Das, District Legal Aid Officer and Senior Civil Judge, Chattogram, delivered the keynote address, highlighting gender awareness, legal rights, equality, and protection against discrimination and harassment. Lion Kamruzzaman Liton PMJF, District Governor, Lions Clubs International, District 315 B4, graced the session. The program was also attended by the Proctor of CIU Dr. Rubell Sen Goopta, Ms. Anjuman Banu Lima, the Registrar of CIU, Ms. Ramisa Jahan, Asst. Dean-in-Charge, School of Law, CIU, the Leo Club Advisor, Leo Youth Exchange Chairperson, District President, District Treasurer, Ms. Jesmin Sultana Paru, Chief Executive of ELLMA, along with other distinguished guests, faculty members, and participants. The session provided an engaging platform for meaningful discussion and awareness of gender equality, legal rights, and access to justice.
