CIU Partners with Kathmandu School of Law (KSL), Nepal
Chittagong Independent University (CIU) and Kathmandu School of Law (KSL), Nepal, formally entered into an academic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 1, 2026, at the CIU Conference Room. Under this partnership, the two institutions will collaborate in areas of mutual interest, including academic cooperation, faculty and student exchange programs, Summer School, joint research initiatives, conferences, seminars, and other scholarly activities. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Geeta Pathak Sangroula, Executive Director, Kathmandu School of Law (KSL), as the Chief Guest. The Special Guests included Mr. Md. Showeb Abdullah, Counsellor & Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Nepal, and Ms. Yojana Bamjan, First Secretary, Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh, who joined virtually. Prof. Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Chittagong Independent University (CIU) was the session Chair. Ms. Nazneen Akter, Assistant Dean, School of Law, delivered the welcome address. The event was attended by the Deans of various schools, faculty members, and the Registrar of the university. The ceremony was conducted by Ms. Rooma Dass, Assistant Registrar, CIU. This partnership marks another significant step in CIU’s journey towards expanding international academic collaboration and creating global opportunities for its students and faculty.
