CIU Inaugurates Artificial Intelligence Center (CIUAIC) Chittagong Independent University (CIU) formally inaugurated its Artificial Intelligence Center (CIUAIC) on May 7, 2026 marking a significant milestone in strengthening the university’s commitment to innovation, research, and industry collaboration in emerging technologies. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Zunaid Kazi, Founder & CEO of Knowtomation and Founding Council Member of MillionX Bangladesh, who joined the program online. The Guest of Honor, Mr. Munir Hasan, President of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), also joined online. Professor Dr. Mohammed Moshiul Hoque, Professor of CSE at CUET and Director of the IT Business Incubator (ITBI) was present as the special guest. The program was chaired by Professor Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar, Honorable Vice Chancellor of CIU. Dr. Aseef Iqbal, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Md. Sajjatul Islam, Director of CIUAIC, presented the vision, objectives, and future roadmap of the newly established center. Deans, Faulty members, Registrar and other high management officials were also present in the ceremony.
