Prof. M. M. Nurul Absar, Vice Chancellor of Chittagong Independent University (CIU), participated as a distinguished panelist at the IQAC Forum: Panel Discussion, held under the International Conference on Innovation, Excellence and Quality for Transformation in Higher Education 2026 (THE 2026) at Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Dhaka. The panel discussion took place at the DMK Lecture Gallery at IUB on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The session focused on the theme: “Integrating Policy, Strategy, and Practice for Advancing Governance, Quality Culture, and Accreditation in Higher Education.” The forum brought together eminent academics, policymakers, and institutional leaders from across Bangladesh. The distinguished panelists included Prof. Saidur Rahman, Member, University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh; Prof. Gulshan Ara Latifa, Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC); Prof. M. M. Nurul Absar, Vice Chancellor, Chittagong Independent University (CIU); Prof. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Southeast University; Prof. Md. Kudrat-E-Zahan, Vice Chancellor, Bogra Science and Technology University; Prof. Muhammad Abu Yusuf, Vice Chancellor, University of Frontiers Technology, Bangladesh; and Prof. Farheen Hasan, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The session was moderated by Prof. Md. Abdul Awal Khan, Additional Director (ETL), IQAC, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). Prof. M. M.
