Chittagong Independent University (CIU) convened its 57th meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) on 10 September 2026 at the University Conference Room. The meeting was chaired by Trustee Lutfe M Ayub, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Among others, Trustee Engr. Ali Ahmed, Trustee Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, Trustee Syed Mahmudul Huq, Trustee Mirza Salman Ispahani, Trustee Habibullah Khan, Trustee Hefazatur Rahman, Trustee Safia Ghazi Rahman, Trustee Mohammed Amirul Haque, Trustee Parveen Mahmud FCA, Trustee Md. Abdus Salam, Trustee Mirza Mohammed Jamshed Ali, Trustee Engr. Iftekhar Hosen and Honorable Vice Chancellor of CIU, Professor Dr. M. M. Nurul Absar attended the meeting. The meeting discussed key matters concerning the university, including the proposed permanent campus land and the Master Plan for the development of the permanent campus, with a focus on the university’s future growth and strategic development.
