“Basic First Aid Training Workshop” Successfully Held at Chittagong Independent University The Leo Club of Chittagong Bay of Bengal, in collaboration with Chittagong Independent University (CIU), successfully organized a “Basic First Aid Training Workshop” at the CIU Auditorium on 7 May 2026. The event brought together nearly 120 students from different schools and departments of the university. The event was graced by several distinguished guests and dignitaries, including District Governor Ln. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed Apu, MJF, Immediate Past District Governor Ln. Kohinoor Kamal, MJF, 1st Vice District Governor Ln. Md. Kamruzzaman Liton, Registrar of Chittagong Independent University, Ms. Anjuman Banu Lima, Director of Sajinaz Hospital Ln. Hasan Mahmud, Award Coordinator of Duke of Edinburgh, Chattogram, Jewel Chowdhury, and Leo Club Advisor Mashiur Rahman Chowdhury Mahi. Their inspiring remarks emphasized the importance of first aid awareness, humanitarian values, and youth engagement in community development initiatives. The program was hosted by Kaniz Fatema Ivee, a student of the School of Law at CIU and also a member of the CIU School of Law Debating & Mooting Club. As part of the concluding session, an interactive quiz competition was organized to evaluate participants’ understanding of the training modules. Certificates were distributed among all participants upon successful completion of the workshop, while prizes were awarded to the top five performers in the quiz competition.
